Please be advised that Mr. Ramon E. Nugent, Director of Acentech Incorporated, who has been
hired by the Administration, as directed by the Commission, as an airport noise consultant will
be appearing before the City Commission on April 10, 2003, to give a status report on Miami -
Dade County's EA (Environmental Assessment) application with the FAA and provide a pros
and cons report on the impact of a Part 150 Noise Abatement Program for the City of Miami.
As you will recall, Frank Rollason gave a status report to the Commission in December of last
year and at that time the Commission requested that Mr. Nugent appear before you to present his
findings and make any appropriate recommendations.
