PARIS, (EFE).- La sombra de una guerra en Irak planed hoy sobre
la reuni6n de ministros del G7, que dicen estar dispuestos a responder
de forma apropiada a un agravamiento suplementario de las pers-
pectivas de crecimiento econdmico que, reconocen, ya se han visto
ralentizadas por las incertidumbres geopoliticas.
En el proyecto de comunicado que debe hacerse publico al final
de la reuni6n, los titulares de Finanzas de los siete paises mas des-
arrollados y los gobernadores de sus bancos centrales se declaran
"dispuestos a responder de forma apropiada" si "se debilitan las pers-
pectival econ6micas".
El borrador, que no menciona en ningun momento la crisis iraqui
ni la posibilidad cada vez mas real de una guerra, ni por to tanto
los posibles escenarios a los que habria que hacer frente, se limita
a evocar "incertidumbres geopoliticas acrecentadas", y admite que
"nuestras economias experimentan un crecimiento mas lento, pero
siguen siendo resistentes".
El grupo asegura en el proyecto de comunicado que "seguira
vigilando estrechamente los mercados de cambio y cooperando
de forma apropiada", pero eso no puede ocultar las diferencias
manifestadas sobre la forma de abordar una ralentizaci6n eco-
n6mica confirmada por el Fondo Monetario Internacional (FMI),
que ha reducido sus previsiones de crecimiento para este ano,
sobre todo en Europa.
Mientras el Gobierno estadounidense se ha embarcado en una rebaja
fiscal radical de 674.000 millones de euros en los pr6ximos diez afios
aun a riesgo de que se dispare su ddficit, los responsables de la zona
euro, insistieron en su compromiso con el rigor presupuestario sim-
bolizado por el Pacto de Estabilidad.

un radio Motorola y su instalacion, un retardador Telma,
diferenciador de cuerpo modular, mejora de un motor Mer-
cedes MBE900 de 230HP y mejora de un sistema de aire acon-
dicionado de combinacibn de 12VDC/120VAC, siendo
el proveedor Aero Products Corporations, mejorar tres (30
vehiculos para atencibn de emergencias m6dicas con el fin de
mantener la calidad del servicio.y la uniformidad de determina-
das normas, para el Departamento de Bomberos de la Ciudad
de Miami, todo ello por una cantidad que no debera exeder
$37,941.00.
A Aero Products Corporation se le concedid el contrato para
suministrar tres (3) vehiculos nuevos por medio de Miami -Dade
County Contract 5472-4/01-4; por tanto, es ventajoso para la
Ciudad el adquirir esas mejoras del m?smo proveedor.

Los cuerpos de la pareja fueron desmembrados con un hacha y
una sierra, quemados, y luego escondidos en bidones y baldes, que
fueron lanzados en una carretera del sur de Florida.
Los jueces asimismo ratificaron otra condena a Lugo por intento
de asesinato en primer grado, secuestro armado, extorsi6n y robo
en el caso del empresario de Miami, Marcello Schiller, en 1994.
Schiller fue obligado a girar mas de un mill6n de d6lares de sus
cuentas de banco y tarjetas de cr6dito, despu6s de pasar un mes,
encadenado a una pared, recibir quemaduras de cigarrillos y otras
torturas.
Sus secuestrados posteriormente planearon su muerte de manera
que se creyeraque era un accidente de trinsito y cuando el empresario
intent6 huir, incendiaron el vehiculo.
Schiller logr6 sobrevivir y pidi6 su traslado a un hospital de
Nueva York para eludir los planes de sus captores, que al enterarse
de que vivia, planearon asfixiarlo en el centro medico de Miami
donde inicialmente ingres6, segun los documentos consignados
en el tribunal.

Aunque el Gobernador Jeb Bush se encuentra viajando por Espana

Los partidarios del tren bala manifestaron que los legisladores han

THE REGULAR AGENDA.
A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION,
WITH ATTACHMENTS, ACCEPTING THE PLAT ENTITLED
BMS SUBDIVISION, A SUBDIVISION IN THE CITY OF
MIAMI, SUBJECT TO ALL OF THE CONDITIONS OF THE
PLAT AND STREET COMMITTEE, AND ACCEPTING THE
DEDICATIONS SHOWN ON SAID PLAT; AUTHORIZING
AND DIRECTING THE CITY MANAGER AND CITY CLERK
TO EXECUTE SAID PLAT; AND PROVIDING FOR RECOR-
DATION OF SAID PLAT IN THE PUBLIC RECORDS OF
MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, FLORIDA.

Public Works Department, Survey and Land Records Section of the

The Miami City Commission requests all interested parties be present
or represented at this meeting and are invited to express their views.
Should any person desire to appeal any decision of the City
Commission with respect to any matter considered at this meeting,
that person shall ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is
made, including all testimony and evidence upon which any appeal
may be based (F.S. 286.0105).

NOTICE OF TO THE PUBLIC
A public hearing will be held by the City Commission of the City of
Miami, Florida, on February 27, 2003, at 9:00 a.m., at the Manuel
Artime Theater, 900 S.W. 1st Street, Miami, Florida, for the purpose of
waving the requirements for competitive sealed bidding of 280A
Neihoff Alternator upgrade, Motorola radio and installation, Telma
retarder, modular body difference, Mercedes MBE900 230HP engine
upgrade, and combination 12VDC/120VAC air conditioning system
upgrade from Aero Products Corporation to upgrade three (3) emer-
gency medical care vehicles to maintain the quality of service and uni-
formity of certain standards, for the City of Miami Fire Department in
an amount not to exceed $37,941.00.
Aero Products Corporation was awarded the contract to supply
three (3) new vehicles under Miami -Dade County Contract 5472-4/01-
4 therefore, it is most advantageous to purchase these upgrades from
the same vendor.

NOTICE TO THE PUBLIC HEARING
A public hearing will be held by the City Commission of the City of
Miami, Florida on February 27, 2003, at 9:00 a.m., at the Manuel
Artime Theater, 900 S.W. 15' Street, Miami, Florida, for the purpose of
discussing a resolution approving and confirming the City Manager's
findings that the competitive sealed bidding methods are not practical
or advantageous for hiring a consultant to coordinate and assist in the
development process fro the Unified Development Project on the
Northwest Quadrant of Watson Island.
All interested persons are invited to appear and may be heard con-
cerning this item. Should any person desire to appeal any decision of
the City Commission with respect to any matter considered at this
hearing, that person shall ensure that a verbatim record of the pro-
