A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION RESCHEDULING THE
DECEMBER CITY COMMISSION MEETING FROM THURSDAY, DECEMBER 8,
2022, TO THURSDAY, JANUARY 12, 2023, STARTING AT 9.00 A.M. TO BE HELD AT
CITY HALL, 3500 PAN AMERICAN DRIVE, MIAMI, FLORIDA; DIRECTING THE CITY
MANAGER AND THE CITY CLERK TO TAKE ANY AND ALL ACTIONS NECESSARY
TO ENSURE THAT THE PUBLIC IS PROPERLY NOTIFIED OF THE CHANGE IN
DATE.
WHEREAS, Section 2-32(b) of the Code of the City of Miami, Florida, as amended ("City
Code"), provides that during the month of December, the regular meeting shall be held on the
second Thursday at 9:00 a.m.; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission has a regularly scheduled meeting on Thursday,
December 8, 2022, at 9:00 a.m.; and
WHEREAS, Sections 2-32(a) and (c) of the City Code provides that the City Commission
may designate a substitute day or time for City Commission meetings by Resolution; and
WHEREAS, there is a regular City Commission meeting scheduled for January 12,
2023; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission finds that it is necessary to reschedule the December
8, 2022, City Commission meeting to the January 12, 2023 meeting date and to combine the
meetings;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are
adopted by reference and incorporated as if fully set forth in this Section.
Section 2. The City Commission meeting scheduled for December 8, 2022, is
rescheduled to Thursday, January 12, 2023, starting at 9:00 a.m. to be held at City Hall, 3500
Pan American Drive, Miami, Florida.
Section 3. The City Manager and the City Clerk are both directed to take any all actions
necessary to ensure that the public is properly notified of the change in the date of the
December 8, 2022, City Commission Meeting.
Section 4. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption.
