INC., FOR PUBLIC SERVICE ACTIVITIES, AS MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED
IN EXHIBIT "A," ATTACHED AND INCORPORATED; FURTHER AUTHORIZING THE
CITY MANAGER TO NEGOTIATE AND EXECUTE ANY AND ALL NECESSARY
DOCUMENTS, INCLUDING AMENDMENTS AND MODIFICATIONS, ALL IN A FORM
ACCEPTABLE TO THE CITY ATTORNEY, FOR SAID PURPOSE.
Background of Item:
On October 13, 2022, pursuant to Resolution No.R-22-0388 the City Commission
approved the allocation of Community Development Block Grant ("CDGB") in the public
service category funds for Fiscal Year ("FY") 2022-2023 in the total amount of
$850,745.45, which included an amount of $184,868.45 to the Department of Housing
and Community Development to be allocated at a later date.
Allapattah Community Action, Inc., is a Florida not for profit organization, located at
2257 NW North River Drive, Miami, Florida; dedicated to providing free meals to the low
income elderly persons in the community.
There is a need to re -allocate these funds to the agency, as specified in the Exhibit "A"
for public service activities.
The City's Administration recommends the transfer of CDBG in the Public Service funds
in the amount of $184,868.45 to Allapattah Community Action, Inc., for public service
activities.

A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION, WITH ATTACHMENT(S),
AUTHORIZING THE TRANSFER OF COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT
("CDBG") FUNDS IN THE PUBLIC SERVICE CATEGORY FROM FISCAL YEAR 2022-
2023, IN THE AMOUNT $184,868.45, TO ALLAPATTAH COMMUNITY ACTION, INC.,
A FLORIDA NOT FOR PROFIT CORPORATION, FOR PUBLIC SERVICE ACTIVITIES,
AS MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED IN EXHIBIT "A," ATTACHED AND
INCORPORATED; FURTHER AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO NEGOTIATE
AND EXECUTE ANY AND ALL NECESSARY DOCUMENTS, INCLUDING
AMENDMENTS AND MODIFICATIONS, ALL IN FORMS ACCEPTABLE TO THE CITY
ATTORNEY, FOR SAID PURPOSE.
WHEREAS, on October 13, 2022, pursuant to Resolution No. R-22-0388, the City

WHEREAS, Allapattah Community Action, Inc., a Florida not for profit corporation
("Allapattah Community Action"), is dedicated to providing free meals to low income households
in the community; and
WHEREAS, there is a need to re -allocate these funds to Allapattah Community Action,
as specified in the Exhibit "A," attached and incorporated, for public service activities; and
WHEREAS, the City's Administration recommends the transfer of CDBG public service
funds in the amount of $184,868.45 to Allapattah Community Action for public service activities;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are
adopted by reference and incorporated as if fully set forth in this Section.
Section 2. The transfer of CDBG public service funds, in the amount of $184,868.45, to
Allapattah Community Action for public service activities, as described in Exhibit "A", attached
and incorporated, is authorized.'
Section 3. The City Manager is authorized' to negotiate and execute any and all
necessary documents, including amendments and modifications, all in forms acceptable to the
City Attorney, for said purpose.
' The herein authorization is further subject to compliance with all legal requirements that may be
imposed, including but not limited to, those prescribed by applicable City Charter and City Code
provisions.
Section 4. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption.
