Can the taxpayers receive an explanation from Comm Russell regarding his continued dismissive actions 2 towards the "arts district" specifically my street N.E. 15 Street at One Herald Plz/N. Bayshore DO This is #115 where Context Miami is currently setting up. I have been sending emails with photos and more emails and 53 photos to him (and his staff) for over one year. Currently ALL the street lights (2 weeks ago there were 4 555 Ads broken) are now broken on N.E. 15 St a/k/a Venetian Way from N. Bayshore Dr to the drawbridge. Aprox N.E. and 1/4 of a mile of NO LIGHTS. Complete darkness from sundown to sunrise. There are NO trash cans Lori 15 Ente AGAIN ---the City brings ONE out for the entire street (both sides of a 4 lane st) and then a month later am am Stre they take it away. Even when there is a trash can they never empty it so NE 15 St is literally a trash et rtain dump --complete with HUGE rats scampering around ---in the dark. The street floods because all the trash men ends up in the storm drains. So can Comm Russell explain why he wants to spend more time and effort t on this "committee" when he has ignored my neighbors and me for over one year? Why create an arts Cou ncil district and have it look like a slum? The taxpayers should not have to bring maintenance issues to the City's attention. If Miami truly wishes to be a world class city then it should make sure it's parks are the same as NY, Chicago, San Francisco, Paris and London have done. Please vote NO. Elected officials please keep the interests of people who voted for you in mind and do NOT allow billboards in these parks. It takes away from the sanctity of the park. However, let's be mindful of the optics of spending trust money on art installations, coming up short on the security/maintenance budget and being forced to raise money through billboards or donations from surrounding buildings. PLEASE DO NOT SELL OUT OUR PARKS.
