CITY COMMISSION MEETING
Thursday, September 22, 2022, at 9:00 A.M.
Federal regulations governing CDBG, and other HUD programs require that a participating jurisdiction provide citizens with
reasonable notice of and an opportunity to comment on any new allocation and/ or amendment of HUD programs. In
addition, the public is advised of the new allocation(s)/ amendment(s) to the funding of the City program(s) as indicated
below: * T
1. Discuss and proposed resolution authorizing the transfer of CDBG CV3 funds from the Department of
Housing and Community Development ("HCD") Small Business Emergency Loan Program II, in the
amount of $2,075,000.00 to the Department of Parks and Recreation to support park improvement
activities.
2. Discuss and proposed resolution authorizing the transfer of Community Development Block Grant
("CDBG') funds, in the amount of $800,000.00 from CDBG economic development category from District 3
to the Department of Parks and Recreation to be used for park improvements.
* The adoption of an Ordinance or Resolution by the City Commission, related to the proposed funding recommendation(s)/amendment(s),
authorizes the City Manager to draft/amend the appropriate City of Miami Action Plan.
t t This item(s) will be available for public comment and review for a period of no less than 30 days. The review and comment period
begin on Tuesday, August 23, 2022, and ends on Wednesday, September 21, 2022. The proposed amendment(s) will be
presented to the City Commission for approval on Thursday, September 22, 2022. Draft copies of the agenda items will be available
at the City of Miami Department of Housing and Community Development office located at 14 NE 1 Avenue, 2 Floor, Miami, FL
33132 (HCD Address). Comments to amendment(s) must be submitted to: nancyromani@miamigov.com, Attn: Nancy Romani,
and must be received no later than September 21, 2022. Interested individuals are encouraged to attend this Public Hearing. The
meeting site is accessible to the handicapped. Requests for special accommodations may be directed at 305-416-2080 no later than
three (3) business days prior to the public hearing date.
