Hannon References: Agenda for October 27, 2022 City Clerk Enclosures: List of members, Memos and Applications The Affordable Housing Advisory Committee ("advisory committee") was created via Ordinance 13967 to (1) serve as the advisory committee required by the Florida Statute Housing Initiatives Partnership ("SHIP") Program and (2) provide oversight and ongoing recommendations on affordable housing issues. The advisory committee shall consist of eleven ( 1 1) members and each member of the advisory committee shall be an individual of outstanding reputation for integrity, responsibility, and commitment to serving the community and is expected to participate actively in the functioning of the advisory committee. Except as provided in Section 2-1103(a), members of the advisory committee shall not be required to be permanent residents of the city, own real property in the city, or work or maintain a business in the city. The Chairperson shall be nominated by the Mayor and appointed by the City Commission. Five (5) appointments are needed at this time: Commission -At -Large has five (5) appointments for seats currently: 1. Vacant. Activelv enizaaed in home building industry in connection with affordable housing Seat #1 (Note: The Department of Housing and Community Development has provided the City Clerk's Office with a memorandum recommending James Angleton, Jr. as a nominee for the Affordable Housing Advisory Committee to fill this vacancy) 2. Vacant. Actively engaged as a not -for -profit provider of affordable housing (Seat #6) (Note: The Department of Housing and Community Development has provided the City Clerk's Office with a memorandum recommending Allan Hall as a nominee for the Affordable Housing Advisory Committee to fill this vacancy) 3. Vacant. Activelv enizaized as a real estate brofessional in connection with affordable housing (Seat #7) (Note: The Department of Housing and Community Development has provided the City Clerk's Office with a memorandum recommending Kevin Deeb as a nominee for the Affordable Housing Advisory Committee to fill this vacancy) 4. Vacant. An individual who resides within the jurisdiction of the city (Seat #9) (Note: The Department of Housing and Community Development has provided the City Clerk's Office with a memorandum recommending Gregory Gay as a nominee for the Affordable Housing Advisory Committee to fill this vacancy) 5. Vacant. An individual who represents employers within the city (Seat #10) (Note: The Department of Housing and Community Development has provided the City Clerk's Office with a memorandum recommending Ben Fernandez as a nominee for the Affordable Housing Advisory Committee to fill this vacancy) For your convenience, we are including a copy of the current membership of said committee. By copy of this memorandum to the Agenda Office, we are requesting that this issue be placed on the October 27, 2022, Commission agenda.
