CITY COMMISSION MEETING
Thursday, September 8, 2022 at 9:00 A.M.
Federal regulations governing CDBG and other HUD programs require that a participating jurisdiction provide citizens with
reasonable notice of and an opportunity to comment on any new allocation and/ or amendment of HUD programs. In
addition, the public is advised of the new allocation(s)/ amendment(s) to the funding of the City program(s) as indicated
below: * T
1. Discuss and proposed resolution authorizing the acceptance of additional State Housing Initiatives
Partnership ("SHIP") funds in the amount of $75,145.00 for State Fiscal Year ("FY") 2021-2022 funds, for
the strategies under the current Ship Local Housing Assistance Plan ("LHAP")
2. Discuss and proposed resolution authorizing the the acceptance of State Housing Initiatives Partnership
("SHIP") funds, in the amount of $2,747,908.00 for Fiscal Year ("FY") 2022-2023, for the strategies under
the current Ship Local Housing Assistance Plan ("LHAP")
The adoption of an Ordinance or Resolution by the City Commission, related to the proposed funding recommendation(s)/amendment(s),
authorizes the City Manager to draft/amend the appropriate City of Miami Action Plan.
t t This item(s) will be available for public comment and review for a period of no less than 30 days. The review and comment period
begin on Tuesday, August 9, 2022 and ends on Wednesday, September 7, 2022. The proposed amendment(s) will be presented to
the City Commission for approval on Thursday, September 8, 2022. Draft copies of the agenda items will be available at the City of
Miami Department of Housing and Community Development office located at 14 NE 1 Avenue, 2 Floor, Miami, FL 33132 (HCD
Address). Comments to amendment(s) must be submitted to: nancyromani@miamigov.com, Attn: Nancy Romani, and must be
received no later than September 7, 2022. Interested individuals are encouraged to attend this Public Hearing. The meeting site is
accessible to the handicapped. Requests for special accommodations may be directed at 305-416-2080 no later than three (3)
business days prior to the public hearing date.
