A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION, WITH ATTACHMENT(S),
APPROVING AND ADOPTING THE THIRD SUPPLEMENTAL BUDGET OF
THE LIBERTY CITY COMMUNITY REVITALIZATION TRUST, ATTACHED AND
INCORPORATED AS EXHIBIT "G," IN THE AMOUNT OF ONE MILLION, ONE
HUNDRED NINETEEN THOUSAND, ONE HUNDRED SIXTY-NINE DOLLARS
($1,119,169.00), FOR THE FISCAL YEAR COMMENCING OCTOBER 1, 2021,
AND ENDING SEPTEMBER 30, 2022.

Commissioner Manolo Reyes, Commissioner Christine King
WHEREAS, the City of Miami ("City") created and established the Liberty City
Community Revitalization Trust ("Trust") pursuant to Ordinance No. 12859, adopted October 12,
2006; and
WHEREAS, the Trust is responsible for the oversight and facilitation of the City's
revitalization and redevelopment activities in the Liberty City area; and
WHEREAS, Section 12.5-36 of the Code of the City of Miami, Florida, as amended ("City
Code"), provides that the Trust shall submit a budget to the City Commission for approval, in a
form acceptable to the City Manager; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. R-21-0366, adopted September 13, 2021, the
City Commission approved the Trust's original annual budget for the fiscal year commencing
October 1, 2021, and ending September 30, 2022 (TY 21-22"), in the amount of $311,000.00,
attached and incorporated as Exhibit "A" ("Original Annual Budget"); and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. R-21-0513, adopted December 9, 2021, the City
Commission approved the Trust's Supplemental Budget for FY 21-22 in the amount of
$769,169.00, attached and incorporated as Exhibit "B" ("Supplemental Annual Budget"); and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. R-22-0148, adopted April 28, 2022, the City
Commission approved the Trust's Second Supplemental Budget for FY 21-22 in the amount of
$919,169.00, attached and incorporated as Exhibit "C" ("Second Supplemental Annual Budget");
and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. R-22-0212, adopted by the City Commission on
June 9, 2022, attached and incorporated as Exhibit "D," the Trust received unanticipated
revenues from the District 5 Commissioner's share of the City's Anti -Poverty Initiative funds in
the total amount of Fifty Thousand Dollars ($50,000.00), to fund the Trust's Summer Youth
Program, necessitating the amendment of the Trust's annual budget; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. R-22-0229, adopted by the City Commission on
June 23, 2022, attached and incorporated as Exhibit "E," the Trust received unanticipated

revenues from the Mayor's share of the City's Anti -Poverty Initiative funds, in the total amount of
One Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars ($150,000.00), to fund the Trust's Summer Youth
Program, necessitating the amendment of the Trust's annual budget; and
WHEREAS, Section 12.5-36(a) of the City Code provides for the Trust to return to the
City Commission for approval of supplements to the Original Annual Budget; and
WHEREAS, the governing body of the Trust reviewed and approved the Trust's Third
Supplemental Budget for FY 21-22, attached and incorporated as Exhibit "F" ("Third
Supplemental Budget"), on August 11, 2022;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are
adopted by reference and incorporated as if fully set forth in this Section.
Section 2. The Trust's Fiscal Year 2021-2022 Third Supplemental Budget, in the total
amount of One Million, One Hundred Nineteen Thousand, One Hundred Sixty -Nine Dollars
($1,119,169.00), attached and incorporated as Exhibit "G," for the Fiscal Year commencing
October 1, 2021, and ending September 30, 2022, is approved and adopted.
Section 3. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption and
signature of the Mayor.'

' If the Mayor does not sign this Resolution, it shall become effective at the end of ten (10) calendar days
from the date it was passed and adopted. If the Mayor vetoes this Resolution, it shall become effective
immediately upon override of the veto by the City Commission.
