WHEREAS, in accordance with Division 2, Section 2-884 (a), (b) of the City of Miami Code, a board member must either reside in the city, own real property in the city or maintain a business in the city, unless the City Commission waives the restriction by a four -fifths affirmative vote of its membership or an unanimous vote of the quorum; and WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution R-22-0259, adopted July 19, 2022, Commissioner Ken Russell appointed Kristofer Hernandez to the Community Relations Board. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are adopted by reference and incorporated as if fully set forth in this Section. Section 2. The Miami City Commission hereby waives the residency requirements by a four -fifths affirmative vote, as it relates to the membership of Kristofer Hernandez as a member of the Community Relations Board.' APPROVED AS TO FORM AND CORRECTNESS: 1 Board appointments are administrative acts which do not require the Mayor's signature nor the City Attorney's review and approval.
