Recommendation
Based on the findings below, it is hereby recommended that the Project be awarded to Runu Contracting, Inc.
("Runu") who has been determined to be the lowest responsive and responsible Bidder for Invitation to Bid ("ITB")
No. 18-02- SEOPW CRA Quadplex.
Background
On November 6, 2018, the Southeast Overtown/Park West Community Redevelopment Agency ("SEOPW CRA")
issued ITB 18-02 for the SEOPW CRA Quadplex project located at 244 NW 16'h Street, Miami, FL 33136. On
December 18, 2018, the CRA received four (4) bids in response to the solicitation (see attached).
Bidders were required to hold a current certified General Contractor license issued by the State of Florida or a
current certified Building Contractor license issued by the State of Florida and must have a minimum of five (5)
years experience under its current business name in the construction/renovation of commercial building projects,
supported by five (5) references from past projects.
Findings
As reflected on the attached Bid Security List, Runu was the lowest bidder for ITB 18-02. After determining that
Runu is a responsible bidder and meets the minimum requirements to bid on the Project, I reviewed Runu's bid
and, based thereon, determined that Runu's bid is responsive to ITB 18-02. Having determined that Runu is the
lowest responsive and responsible bidder for ITB 18-02, it is hereby recommended that the Project be awarded
to Runu.
