HomeMy WebLinkAboutExhibit A# Name of Projects and Services Amount Allocated 1 Certifications and Trainings for Employment $300,000 The City of Miami's Opportunity Center will partner with organizations to conduct certifications and trainings that lead to direct hires. This project will ensure that the Opportunity Center will be the conduit to all relevant resources for job seekers and employers. 2 On -the -Job Training & Apprenticeships $500,000 On-the-job training (OJT) will be an apprenticeship and an industry - driven, high -quality career pathway where jobseekers can develop and prepare their future workforce, and individuals can obtain paid work experience, classroom instruction, and a portable, nationally recognized credential. 3 Workforce Navigators Readiness Program $150,000 Workforce Navigators Readiness Program is a collaboration between the City of Miami and Summer Jobs connect Program. The program is designed to assist underemployed City residents and accelerate the hiring process towards employment for hard to fill positions in within specific partners. 4 Small Business Navigators $200,000 Small Business Navigators will reach out to 100 small businesses within all five (5) districts in the City of Miami affected by COVID-19 and help them recover from the pandemic's economic injury by assisting with technology implementation, digital literacy, social media, sales, accounting and capital and credit. 5 Day Care $500,000 This program will allow a two-year allocation for free child care for qualifying City of Miami residents. 6 Transportation $500,000 This project will ensure that funds are allocated to cover the cost of ride share transportation for travel to work and childcare for dependents. TOTAL $2,150,000
