RESOLUTION NO. - 119
A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE
SOUTHEAST OVERTOWN/PARK WEST COMMUNITY
REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY ("CRA") AUTHORIZING THE
EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR TO EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT,
IN A FORM ACCEPTABLE TO THE CITY ATTORNEY,
WITH GRAU & COMPANY, P.A., FOR GASB 34
IMPLEMENTATION AND TRAINING FOR FISCAL YEAR
2003, IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $50,000.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE SOUTHEAST OVERTOWN/PARK WEST COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the
Preamble to this Resolution are incorporated herein as if fully
set forth in this Section.
Section 2. The Executive Director is hereby authorized
to execute an agreement, in a form acceptable to the City
Attorney, with Grau & Company, P.A., for GASB 34 implementation
and training for Fiscal Year 2003, in an amount not to exceed
$50,000.
Section 3. This resolution shall be effective
immediately upon its adoption.

A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE
SOUTHEAST OVERTOWNIPARK WEST (SEOPW) COMMUNITY
REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY (CRA) AUTHORIZING THE CRA
EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH
GRAU & COMPANY, P.A. IN A FORM ACCEPTABLE TO THE CRA
GENERAL COUNSEL IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $50,000, FOR
GASB 34 IMPLEMENTATION AND TRAINING FOR FISCAL YEAR
ENDING SEPTEMBER 30, 2002.
WHEREAS, the CRA, a component of the City of Miami is required to implement
Government Accounting Standards Board (GASB) Statement No. 34 for fiscal period
ending September 30, 2002.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE SEOPW COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI, FLORIDA:

It is respectfully recommended that the CRA Board of Directors approve the attached resolution
authorizing the CRA Executive Director to enter into an agreement with Grau & Company, P.A., in a
form acceptable to CRA General Counsel for GASB 34 implementation and training for Fiscal Year
2003.
JUSTIFICATION
Pursuant to CRA Board Directive on June 27, 2000, the CRA contacted firms recommended by KPMG
with expertise in Government Accounting Standards Board GASB 34 beginning with Fiscal Year
Ending September 30, 2002. As a result Grau and Co. was contacted and terms for a contract were
negotiated for the implementation and training.
