A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE
SOUTHEAST OVERTOWN/PARK WEST COMMUNITY
REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY ("CRA") DIRECTING THE
EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR TO REQUEST THAT THE CITY
OF MIAMI, THROUGH ITS HISTORICAL PRESERVATION
BOARD: (1) SEEK HISTORICAL DESIGNATION, IF
ELIGIBLE, FOR THE DIVINE MISSION BUILDING
LOCATED AT 910 NORTH WEST 2ND COURT, MIAMI,
FLORIDA; (2) RECONSTRUCT THE BUILDING TO
RECREATE THE TYPICAL RESIDENTIAL LIFESTYLE IN
OVERTOWN BY RESTRICTING THE RESIDENTIAL
COMPLEX AS A HOUSING DEVELOPMENT FOR ARTISTS
AND MUSICIANS; AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTIVE
DIRECTOR TO ASSIGN A CONSTRUCTION MANAGER -AT -
RISK FIRM TO PERFORM THE RECONSTRUCTION OF
THE THREE-STORY BUILDING TO INCLUDE ART
STUDIOS, SUBJECT TO ADA REGULATIONS, AND TO
SUBMIT A PLAN TO THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS FOR
APPROVAL, WITHIN SIXTY DAYS FROM THE DATE
THIS RESOLUTION IS ADOPTED; FURTHER
AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR TO USE
FANNIE MAE FUNDS, IF ELIGIBLE, FOR COMPLETION
OF THE RECONSTRUCTION PROJECT.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE SOUTHEAST OVERTOWN/PARK WEST COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the
Preamble to this Resolution are incorporated herein as if fully
set forth in this Section.

Section 2. The Board of Directors directs the Executive
Director to request that the City of Miami, through its
Historical Preservation Board (1) seek historical designation,
if eligible, for the Divine Mission Building located at 910
North West 2nd Court, Miami, Florida, and (2) reconstruct the
building to recreate the typical residential lifestyle in
Overtown by restricting the residential complex as a housing
development for artists and musicians.
Section 3. The Executive Director is authorized to
assign a Construction Manager -At -Risk Firm to perform the
reconstruction of the three-story building to include art
studios, subject to ADA Regulations, and to submit a plan to the
Board of Directors for approval, within sixty days from the date
this resolution is adopted.
Section 4. The Executive Director is further authorized
to use Fannie Mae funds, if eligible, for completion of the
reconstruction project.
Section 5. This resolution shall be effective
immediately upon its adoption.
