SEOPW/CRA A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE SOUTHEAST OVERTOWN/PARK WEST COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY ("CRA") AMENDING SEOPW/CRA RESOLUTION 02-19 FOR PROVISION OF IN -KIND GRANTS TO OWNERS OF PROPERTY LOCATED ALONG THE NORTH WEST 3RD AVENUE EXTENSION TO THE 9TH STREET PEDESTRIAN MALL FOR THE UPGRADE OF FENCES PURSUANT TO THE PEDESTRIAN MALL PLAN AND SETTING AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $50,000 FOR COMPLETION FOR THE UPGRADE WORK; AND DIRECTING THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR THAT THE LINEAR COST FOR FENCING MAY NOT EXCEED $52 PER LINEAR FOOT. WHEREAS, the Board of Directors approved SEOPW/CRA Resolution 97-011, which approved the North West 3rd Avenue Extension to the 9th Street Pedestrian Mall; and WHEREAS, the CRA desires to provide in -kind grants to owners of property located along the North West 3rd Avenue Extension to the 9th Street Pedestrian Mall for the upgrade of existing fences or the construction of conforming fences and landscaping and provide in -kind grants to owners of buildings required to convert electric power sources necessitated by the Pedestrian Mall construction project (the "Project"); and swig I CRA 02— 29 WHEREAS, the Board of Directors approved SEOPW/CRA Resolution 02-19 and further directed the Executive Director to recommend at the next Board meeting a specific dollar amount to complete the work described in the Resolution; and WHEREAS, the CRA has determined that the cost of the project should not exceed $50,000. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE SOUTHEAST OVERTOWN/PARK WEST COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to, this Resolution are incorporated herein as if fully set forth in this Section. Section 2. The Board of Directors hereby approves the amendment to SEOPW/CRA Resolution 02-19 for provision of in -kind grants to owners of property along the North West 3rd Avenue Extension to the 9th Street Pedestrian Mall for the upgrade of fences pursuant to the Pedestrian Mall plans and setting an amount not to exceed $50,000 for completion of the upgrade work. Lewis Acting Executive Directo ENCLOSURES: RECOMMENDATION It is respectfully recommended that the CRA Board of Directors approve the attached resolution amending Resolution SEOPW/CRA R-02-19 as it relates to the CRA provision of in -kind grants to property owners along the NW 3ra Avenue extension to the 9th Street Pedestrian Mall for the upgrade of fences pursuant to the Pedestrian Mall plans, stipulating an amount not to exceed $ BACKGROUND The CRA Board of Directors approved resolution SEOPW/CRA R-02-19 at the January 28, 2002 CRA Board Meeting on principal and directed staff to bring the item back to the board with a cost estimate of the proposed project. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE SOUTHEAST OVERTOWN/ PARK WEST COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1.
