A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE SOUTHEAST OVERTOWN/PARK WEST COMMUNITY
REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY ("CRA") REQUESTING THAT
THE CITY OF MIAMI IMMEDIATELY AND
EXPEDITIOUSLY ACQUIRE THE FIVE (5) PARCELS
OF LAND DETAILED IN "EXHIBIT A" FOR PUBLIC
RIGHT OF WAY, PARKING, OPEN SPACE PLAZA AND
FUTURE FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION
("FDOT") USE PURSUANT TO THE 9Tx STREET
PEDESTRIAN MALL PLAN AND CHAPTER 163,
FLORIDA STATUTES.
WHEREAS, the CRA desires that the City of Miami acquire the
five (5) parcels of land detailed in "Exhibit A" for public

right of way, parking, open space plaza and future FDOT use
pursuant to the 9th Street Pedestrian Mall Plan and Chapter 163,
Florida Statues.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE SOUTHEAST OV.ERTOWN/PARK WEST COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the
Preamble to this Resolution are incorporated herein as if fully
set forth in this Section.
Section 2. The CRA Board of Directors hereby authorizes
the CRA Executive Director to meet with the City Manager for the
City of Miami to immediately and expeditiously acquire the five
(5) parcels for land detailed in "Exhibit A" for public right of
way, parking, open space plaza and future FDOT use pursuant to
the 9th Street Pedestrian Mall Plan and Chapter 163, Florida
Statues.
Section 3. The Resolution shall be effective upon its
adoption.
PASSED AND ADOPTED on this 28th day of January, 2002.

RECOMMENDATION
Is respectfully recommended that the CRA Board of Directors approve the attached resolution
requesting the City of Miami immediately and expeditiously acquire the five (5) parcels as detailed on
"Exhibit A" for public right of way, parking, open space plaza, and fiiture Department of
Transportation ("DOT") use pursuant to the 9"' Street Pedestrian Mall plan and Florida Statutes 163.
BACKGROUND
As the construction phase of the extension of the 9th Street Pedestrian Mall project approaches, there
are still six parcels of land that must be acquired to facilitate the completion of the Pedestrian Mall.
