HomeMy WebLinkAboutOMNI-CRA-R-02-0011OMNI/CRA ITEM 6 RESOLUTION NO. 0 ' O i l A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE OMNI COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY ("CRA") AUTHORIZING THE CRA EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR TO SOLICIT QUALIFICATIONS FROM AND EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT, IN A FORM ACCEPTABLE TO THE CITY ATTORNEY, WITH AN EXPERIENCED FIRM FROM THE CITY OF MIAMI'S LIST OF APPROVED VENDORS FOR MISCELLANEOUS CONSULTING, SURVEYING AND ENGINEERING SERVICES IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $50,000. WHEREAS, the CPA desires to seek qualifications from and enter into an agreement with an experienced firm for miscellaneous consulting, surveying and engineering services from the City of Miami's list of approved vendors in an amount not to exceed $50,000. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE OMNI COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are incorporated herein as if fully set forth in this Section. Section 2. The CRA Board of Directors hereby authorizes the CRA Executive Director to solicit qualifications from and �0 H execute an agreement, in a form acceptable to the City Attorney, with an experienced firm from the City of Miami's list of approved vendors for miscellaneous consulting, surveying and engineering services in an amount not to exceed $50,000. WHEREAS, the CRA desires to seek qualifications from, and enter into an agreement with, an experienced firm for miscellaneous consulting, surveying and engineering services from the City of Miami's approved list of vendors, and in an amount not to exceed $50,000; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE OMNI COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. REFERENCES: ENCLOSURES: Resolution and Supporting Documents RECOMMENDATION It is respectfully recommended that the CRA Board of Directors approve the attached resolution which authorizes the CRA Executive Director to seek qualifications from, and enter into an agreement with, an experienced firm for miscellaneous consulting, surveying and engineering services from the City of Miami's approved list of vendors, in an amount not to exceed $50,000.00 and in a form acceptable to the CRA General Counsel. _BACKGROUND The CRA in conformance with the redevelopment plan and in connection with its ongoing projects may require miscellaneous engineering, consulting and surveying, and other related services. By entering into a contract with a reputable firm from the city of Miami's approved list of professional firms, the CRA ensures quick turn around time, reduction of overall cost, notwithstanding the successful firms' increased familiarity of the redevelopment area and in providing more detailed and accurate information to the CRA.
