HomeMy WebLinkAboutSEOPW-CRA-R-01-0148SEOPW/CRA ITEM 17 SE®P"V tCR A RESOLUTION NO. 0 1 14 8 A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE SOUTHEAST OVERTOWN/PARK WEST COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY ("CRA") AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR TO DISBURSE FUNDS TO ACQUIRE PROPERTIES ON THE LIST OF LANDS AVAILABLE FOR TAXES AS IDENTIFIED IN MIAMI- DADE COUNTY'S RESOLUTION NO. 981-01 (ATTACHMENT A) AND TO PERFORM THE TASKS NECESSARY TO ENSURE PROPER CONVEYANCE OF THE PROPERTIES TO THE CPA. WHEREAS, on July 13, 2001, the CRA petitioned Miami -Dade County to convey seven parcels of land that were on the CLUC 90 i list; and WHEREAS, in response to CRA's request, the Board of County Commissioners passed Resolution No. 981-01 at its September 13, 2001, Commission Meting; WHEREAS, Resolution No. 981-01'provides a minimum bid price of $46,713.61 with a notation that one of the properties requested was sold to a private corporation. SEOPW / CRA 01- 148 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE SOUTHEAST OVERTOWN/PARK WEST COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are incorporated herein as if fully set forth in this Section. Section 2. The CPA Board of Directors authorizes the Executive Director to disburse funds required to secure properties identified in Miami -Dade County Resolution No. 981-01 and perform the tasks necessary to ensure the proper conveyance of the properties to the CRA. BACKGROUND On July 13, 2001 the CRA petitioned Miami -Dade County to convey several properties in the County Land Use Code 90 category. The County responded by issuing Resolution No. R-981-01 that identifies those that can be acquired by the CRA with a minimum bid of $46,713.61. 4.
