HomeMy WebLinkAboutSEOPW-CRA-R-01-0119SEOPW/CRA ITEM 4 S OPW/CRA RESOLUTION NO. 0 1 — 119 A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE SOUTHEAST OVERTOWN/PARK WEST COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY ("CRA") APPROVING THE APPROPRIATIONS BUDGET FOR FISCAL YEAR 2002, ATTACHED AS "EXHIBIT A", FOR SAID AGENCY AND TO AUTHORIZE ITS TRANSMISSION TO THE CITY OF MIAMI AND MIAMI-DADE COUNTY. WHEREAS, the CPA is responsible for carrying out community redevelopment activities and projects in the Southeast Overtown/Park West Redevelopment Area (the "Redevelopment Area") established pursuant to the Redevelopment Plan; and WHEREAS, the CRA desires to accept the appropriations Budget for fiscal year 2002 and transmit same to the City of Miami and Miami -Dade County. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are incorporated herein as if fully set forth in this Section. SEOPW/CRA 01— 119 ►bJC p Section 2. The CRA Board of Directors hereby accepts the appropriations Budget for fiscal year 2002, attached as "Exhibit All, and authorizes the Executive Director to transmit same to the City of Miami and Miami -Dade County. BACKGROUND The proposed budget for fiscal year 2002 is $26,484,084, an increase of $9,104,907 over the 2001 fiscal year's budget. This significant increase results from the timing of scheduled projects and programs in the CRA's five (5) plan.
