RESOLUTION NO. SEOPW/CRA 01 - 43
A RESOLUTION OF THE SOUTHEAST OVERTOWN/PARK
WEST COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY (THE
"CRA") AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR OF THE
CRA TO DESIGNATE A PART-TIME PARKING
SUPERINTENDENT, AT A COST NOT TO EXCEED $6000.00
ANNUALLY, WITH RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDING I)
REPORTING TO THE CRA AND TO THE CITY OF MIAMI
(THE "CITY") ANY ISSUES RELATING TO CRA PARKING
LOTS, 11) INITIALLY MAINTAINING AND UPKEEPING CRA
PARKING LOTS, AND III) INSURING CONFORMANCE WITH
CRA AND CITY RULES AND REGULATIONS WITH RESPECT
TO THE USE OF THE CRA PARKING LOTS.
WHEREAS, the City of Miami approved and adopted the Southeast
Overtown/Park West Community Redevelopment Plan pursuant to Resolution Nos. 82-
755 and 85-1247 (the "Redevelopment Plan"); and
WHEREAS, the CRA is responsible for carrying out community redevelopment
activities and projects in the Southeast Overtown/Park West Redevelopment Area (the
"Redevelopment Area") established pursuant to the Redevelopment Plan; and
WHEREAS, the CRA desires to designate a part-time parking superintendent, at a
cost not to exceed $6000.00 annually, with responsibilities including i) reporting to the
CRA and to the City any issues relating to CRA parking lots, ii) initially maintaining and
upkeeping CRA parking lots, and iii) insuring conformance with CRA and City rules and

regulations with respect to the use of the CRA parking lots.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF THE CITY OF MIAMI,
FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this
Resolution are incorporated herein as if fully set forth in this Section.
Section 2. The Executive Director of the CRA is hereby authorized to
designate a part-time parking superintendent, at a cost not to exceed $6000.00 annually,
with responsibilities including i) reporting to the CRA and to the City any issues relating
to CRA parking lots, ii) initially maintaining and upkeeping CRA parking lots, and iii)
insuring conformance with CRA and City rules and regulations with respect to the use of
the CRA parking lots.

Section 3. This resolution shall be effective upon its adoption.

RECOMMENDATION
The attached resolution authorizes the Executive Director the authority to designate a part-time
parking lot superintendent for the sum not exceeding $6,000.00 annually, to maintain and ensure
compliance to the CRA and the City of Miami rules and regulation with respect to the use of the
CRA parking lots.
BACKGROUND
It is recommended that the Southeast Overtown/Parkwest Community Redevelopment Agency
(CRA) authorizes the Executive Director of the CRA to designate a part-time parking
superintendent, at a cost not to exceed $6,000.00 annually, with responsibilities including I)
Reporting to the CRA and to the City of Miami (the City) any issues relating to CRA parking lots,
II) Initially maintaining and up keeping CRA parking lots, and III) Insuring conformance with
CRA and City rules and regulations with respect to the use of the CRA parking lots.
