HomeMy WebLinkAboutSEOPW-CRA-R-01-0037SEOPW/CRA ITEM 1Dviii RESOLUTION NO. ® 1 3 r A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE SOUTHEAST OVERTOWN/PARK WEST COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY ("CRA") APPROVING, RATIFYING AND CONFIRMING THE AGREEMENT EXECUTED BY THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR, IN A FORM ACCEPTABLE TO THE CITY ATTORNEY, WITH CIVIL-CADD ENGINEERING, INC FOR EVALUATION OF SITE LOCATIONS AND MISCELLANEOUS ENGINEERING SERVICES FOR RELOCATION OF THE FLORIDA MARLINS' BALLPARK AND ALLOCATING AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $21,825.11 FROM ACCOUNT NO. 799126.456262.979 FOR PAYMENT UPON COMPLETION OF SERVICES. WHEREAS, the CRA is responsible for carrying out community redevelopment activities and projects in the Southeast Overtown/Park West Community Redevelopment Area (the "Redevelopment Area") established pursuant to the Redevelopment Plan; and WHEREAS, on February 26, 2001, the Board of Directors directed the Executive Director to conduct a site analysis for relocation of the Marlins' Ballpark to the Redevelopment Area; and WHEREAS, pursuant to the Board's direction, the Executive Director engaged Civil-Cadd Engineering, Inc. to perform the evaluation of site locations and miscellaneous engineering services; and 01- 37 WHEREAS, funds for these services are available from Account No. 799126.456262.979. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE SOUTHEAST OVERTOWN/PARK WEST COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are incorporated herein as if fully set forth in this Section. Section 2. The Board of Directors of the Southeast Overtown/Park West Community Redevelopment Agency hereby ratifies, approves and confirms the action of the Executive Director in executing an agreement, in a form acceptable to the City Attorney, with Civil-Cadd Engineering, Inc. for evaluation of site locations and miscellaneous engineering services for relocation of the Florida Marlins' Ballpark and allocating an amount not to exceed $21,825.11 from Account No. 799126.456262.979 for payment upon completion of services. Section 3. The Executive Director is authorized to issue the work authorization required for performance of the services described herein. Section 4. FOR THE SITE ANALYSIS OF THE RELOCATION OF THE MARLIN'S BALLPARK STADIUM, IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $45,000.00, ALLOCATING FUNDS FROM ACCOUNT CODE NO: 799126.456262.979. WHEREAS, the Southeast Overtown/ Park West Community Redevelopment Agency (the "CRA") is responsible for carrying out community redevelopment activities and projects in the Southeast Overtown/ Park West Community Redevelopment Area (the "Redevelopment Area") established pursuant to the Redevelopment Plan; and WHEREAS, on February 20t', 2001, the Board of Directors directed the Executive Director to conduct a site analysis in connection with relocation of the Marlin's ballpark stadium to examine the advantages and disadvantages of various sites located within the Redevelopment Area, and, on March 15, 2001, to provide the City of Miami Commission and the City Manager with a report of the CRA's Economic Development Infrastructure Assessment; and WHEREAS, pursuant to such Board direction, engaged Civil Cadd Engineering, Inc. to perform the site analysis; and WHEREAS, funds for these services are available from Account Code No. 799126.456262.979. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to the Resolution are incorporated herein as if fully set forth in this Section. Section 2. The acquisition of site analysis services for the relocation of the Marlins Ballpark Stadium from Civil Cadd Engineering, Inc. in an amount not to exceed $45,000.00, is hereby ratified, approved and confirmed, with funds allocated from Account Code No. 799126.456262.979. The following Scope of Services, is based on information provided by Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA), and is hereby submitted, for your review and execution approval. SCOPE OF SERVICE 2.1 Coordinate with H.J. Ross, Bermello, Ajamil & Partners, A.T.C. Associates and Parson- Brinckerhoff and prepare a final report to be reviewed by Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA), Board and Director for the elaboration and development of a site evaluation methodology/process for 6 potential location sites, in the City of Miami Community Redevelopment area for the proposed Marlins Ball Park. 2.2 Meet with the Florida Department of Transportation, District Six, to discuss proposed improvements to adjacent, and surrounding roadways. Also, provide preliminary construction costs for relocation of the main.
