A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE
COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY ("CRA")
AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR TO EXECUTE
THE DEED RECONVEYING THE PROPERTY DESCRIBED ON
EXHIBIT "A" ATTACHED HERETO (THE "PROPERTY") TO
THE CITY OF MIAMI (THE "CITY") AS RESULT OF THE
PROPERTY HAVING BEEN PREVIOUSLY CONVEYED BY THE
CITY TO THE CRA IN ERROR.
WHEREAS, the City of Miami approved and adopted the Omni Area
Redevelopment Plan pursuant to Resolution Nos. 86-868 and 86-607 (the
"Redevelopment Plan"); and
WHEREAS, the CRA is responsible for carrying out community
redevelopment activities and projects in the Omni Redevelopment Area (the
"Redevelopment Area") established pursuant to the Redevelopment Plan; and
WHEREAS, the CRA desires to execute the deed re -conveying the
property described on Exhibit "A' to the City as a result of the property
having been previously conveyed by the City to the CRA in error.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF
DIRECTORS OF THE COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to
this Resolution are incorporated herein as if fully set forth in this Section.
Section 2. The Board of Directors of CRA hereby authorizes the
Executive Director to execute the deed re -conveying the property described on
Exhibit "A' to the City as a result of the property having been previously
conveyed by the City to the CRA in error.
Section 3. The resn1ution shall be effective upon its adoption.

As per our conversation, please find attached the letter we recently sent to Mr. Tyler requesting the CRA
convey the above -referenced site back to the City so the City could move forward with the proposed lease
agreement with Mr. Margulies for construction and operation of a youth center in Gibson Park.
If action of the CRA board is necessary, we would request that you place this matter on the November
agenda so the youth center can be built in a timely fashion. If you have any questions, please feel free to

Dear Mr. Tyler:
The City of Miami has been working diligently with Mr. Marty Margulies in connection with his offer to
donate the construction and operation of a youth center in Gibson Park. I understand the CRA was
previously working with Mr. Margulies, however, for the purpose of expediting this project so the
community does not lose this valuable contribution, the City administration is moving forward with
negotiating a lease agreement with Mr. Margulies.
As you know, the proposed location of the building includes one lot presently owned by the CRA that
was originally conveyed to the CRA by the City in error since it was part of a park. To correct this error,
Southeast Overtown Park West Community Redevelopment previously executed a Special Warranty
Deed on October 16, 1997, transferring the above referenced lot back to the City. This deed was never
recorded since we did not have a resolution from the CRA providing the necessary authority for this
transfer.
It is requested at this time that the lot be reconveyed back to the City so we may move forward with the
donation from Mr. Margulies that will benefit the CRA, the City and the community at large. Please
provide a certified copy of the resolution that authorized the execution of the attached deed so we may
accept same and record the deed. In the event no resolution exists, we request that the CRA Board
authorize your execution of a new Special Warranty Deed reconveying this property to the City.
Your prompt attention to this matter will be greatly appreciated. If you have any questions regarding this

between Southeast Overtown/Park West Community Redevelopment
Agency, whose address is 300 Biscayne Blvd. Way, Suite 400, Miami,
Florida 33131 (the "Grantor"), and the City of Miami., a municipal
corporation of the State of Florida (the "Grantee"),
WITNESSETH, that Grantor, for and in consideration of the sum
of Ten Dollars ($10.00), to Grantor in hand paid by Grantee, the
receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, has granted, bargained and
sold to Grantee, and Grantee's heirs and assigns forever, the
following described land, being in Dade County, Florida, to wit:

SUBJECT TO:
1. Taxes for the year 1997 and subsequent years.
2. Conditions, restrictions, and easements of record, though
this reference is not intended to reimpose same.
3. Applicable zoning ordinances; codes, rules and
regulations.
The Property is being taken by the Grantee. "as is", without
representations or warranties whatsoever.
And Grantor does hereby covenant to defend the title to said land,
against the lawful, claims of all persons claiming by, through or
under Grantor.
"Grantor" and "Grantee" are used herein in the singular or the
plural, as the context may require.
NOTE TO CLERK. This instrument effects the transfer of real
property between governmental agencies for no consideration, and
therefore only minimum documentary stamp tax and surtax has been
paid hereon.
