A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF,
THE COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY
("CRA") DIRECTING THE DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS,
ADMINISTRATION AND DEVELOPMENT ("DOAD") TO
OBTAIN GENERAL LIABILITY INSURANCE FOR THE
OFFICERS AND DIRECTORS OF THE CRA.
WHEREAS, the City of Miami approved and adopted the Southeast
Overtown/Park West Community Redevelopment Plan pursuant to
Resolution Nos. 82-755 and 85-1247 (the "Redevelopment Plan"); and
WHEREAS, the CRA is responsible for carrying out community
redevelopment activities and projects in the Southeast Overtown/Park West
Redevelopment Area (the "Redevelopment Area") established pursuant to the
Redevelopment Plan; and
WHEREAS, the CRA desires to obtain general liability insurance for
the officers and directors of the CRA.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF
DIRECTORS OF THE COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to
this Resolution are incorporated herein as if fully set forth in this Section.
Section 2. The Board of Directors of CRA hereby directs the DOAD
to obtain general liability insurance for the officers and directors of the CRA.
Section 3. The resolution shall be effective upon its adoption.

Please let this letter serve as authorization, and a request to transfer the budgeted amount of
$522,064 from the City of Miami general fund into the CRA Operating fund. The budgeted
amount is reflected in account code 689004.055011.7.193 as a "contribution from general fund".
Also please authorize the transfer of a budgeted amount of $60,445 from the City of Miami
general fund into the CRA Community Programs fund. The budgeted amount is reflected in
account code 689006.550013.7.193 as a "contribution from general fund".
Further, please include the same allocation of $582,509 as contribution from the General Fund to
the CRA for fiscal year 2001. Should you have any questions, please contact me at (305) 579-

RECOMMENDATION
It is respectfully recommended that the Board adopt the attached resolutions approving and adopting the
revised annual budget and projects for the Community Redevelopment Agency (The "CRA") with
respect to the Omni Redevelopment Area (The "OMNI/CRA" fbr the fiscal year commencing October
1, 1999 and ending September 30, 2000 for the operations of the Omni/CRA and the implementation of
the projects and programs of the Omni/CRA.
BACKGROUND
On September 28, 1999 the CRA Board adopted resolutions OW%II/CRA R-99-21 and SEOPW/CRA R-
99-28 approving the budget for the SEOPW and OMNI Redevelopment Area for the fiscal year 1999-
2000 and further approving the five year budget for the period from October 1, 1999 through September
20, 2004 and the CRA budget for FY 1999-2000
