HomeMy WebLinkAboutSEOPW OMNI CRA 200-06-29 Clerk Report10 INCOR7 ORATEO jj O B 96 Q SEOPW AND OMNI/CRA CITY CLERK'S REPORT MEETING DATE: June 29, 2000 Page No. I ITEM I A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE SEOPW/CRA R-00-74 COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY (THE MOVED: GORT "CRA") TO I) IMPLEMENT A COMMERCIAL SECONDED: REGALADO REVITALIZATION SUPPLEMENTAL GRANT UNANIMOUS PROGRAM AS DESCRIBED ON EXHIBIT "A" AND MAKE A PART HEREOF, AND, II) TO GRANT AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $420,000 IN GRANTS WITH RESPECT TO THE GRANT PROGRAM, WHICH INDIVIDUAL GRANTS SHALL BE SUBMITTED TO THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS FOR APPROVAL. Direction to the Administration: Vice Chairman Winton indicated that the CKA tiammisLraLwn 11MUZi w iuvn aL how long the businesses have been in business, how many new businesses will be created and provide said information as expeditiously as possible to complete the public record; Board Member Gort further stated that the CRA Administration should ensure that said businesses will be successful by providing not only economic assistance, but technical assistance as well; further stipulating that those designated restaurant owners who have been successful should form part of the creation of an advisory committee; Chairman Teele requested of Ms. Annie Wooton (personal appearance regarding compensation for landowners for designated parcels described more fully as P-2) to meet with the CRA director in order to get a more comprehensive overview of the CRA.
