SEOPW/CRA R-98-23 A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY ("CRA") I) AUTHORIZING THE CRA TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH THE CITY OF MIAMI DEPARTMENT OF COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT FOR THE CRA TO PROVIDE PROGRAM MANAGEMENT, TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE, PROJECT ADMINISTRATION, PLANNING, DEVELOPMENT AND OTHER SERVICES NECESSARY TO COMPLETE CDBG FUNDED PROJECTS IN THE REDEVELOPMENT AREA (THE "AGREEMENT"), SUBJECT TO THE APPROVAL OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI ("CITY COMMISSION") AND II) AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR OF THE CRA TO NEGOTIATE THE AGREEMENT AND PRESENT THE AGREEMENT TO THE CITY COMMISSION FOR APPROVAL. WHEREAS, the City of Miami approved and adopted the Southeast Overtown/Park West Community Redevelopment Plan pursuant to Resolution Nos. 82-755 and 85-1247 (the "Redevelopment Plan"); and WHEREAS, the CRA is responsible for carrying out community redevelopment activities and projects in the Southeast Overtown/Park West Redevelopment Area (the "Redevelopment Area") established pursuant to the Redevelopment Plan; and WHEREAS, the CRA desires to enter into the Agreement. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution The Board of Directors of CRA hereby authorizes the CRA to proceed with changes in the boundaries of the Redevelopment Area. are incorporated herein as if fully set forth in this Section. Section 2. The Board of Directors of CRA hereby i) authorized the CRA to enter into the Agreement and ii) authorizes the Executive Director to �F,OPW CRAy 23 negotiate the Agreement and to present the Agreement to the City Commission for approval. Section 3. The resolution shall be effective upon its adoption. PASSED AND ADOPTED on this 22nd day of September, 1998.
