RESOLUTION NO. 98-3
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CHAIRMAN OF THE
COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY TO ENGAGE A
PLANNING/ARCHITECTURAL FIRM FROM THE LIST OF
QUALIFIED FIRMS UNDER CONTRACT WITH THE CITY OF
MIAMI TO PROVIDE SERVICES TO THE AGENCY
WHEREAS, the Community Redevelopment Agency (the "CRA") is
responsible for carrying out community redevelopment activities and
projects in the Southeast Overtown/Park West Redevelopment Area
(the "SEOPW Redevelopment Area") and in the Omni Redevelopment Area
(the "Omni Redevelopment Area") pursuant to a"Redevelopment Plan in
effect for each such redevelopment area; and
WHEREAS, the CRA desires to engage a planning/architectural
firm to provide certain technical services to the CRA for the
purpose of (a) examining the existing boundaries of the SEOPW
Redevelopment Area and recommending modifications to said
boundaries and (b) reviewing the status and continuing feasibility
of the existing and proposed projects in the Redevelopment Areas;
and
WHEREAS, the Commission of the City of Miami has adopted a
resolution authorizing the Chairman of the CRA, jointly with the
City Manager and the Director of Public Works, to engage a firm
from such list to provide such services.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY:
Section 1. The recitals contained in the preamble to this
Resolution are hereby adopted by reference and incorporated in this
Resolution as if fully set forth in this Section.
Section 2. The Chairman of the CRA is hereby authorized to
engage a planning/architectural firm from the list of qualified
firms presently under contract with the City of Miami to provide
certain technical services to the CRA for the purpose of (a)
examining the existing boundaries of the SEOPW Redevelopment Area
and recommending modifications to said boundaries and (b) reviewing
the status and continuing feasibility of the existing and proposed
projects in the Redevelopment Areas. Funds for the fees payable to
such firm are hereby allocated from the budgets of the respective
Redevelopment Areas.

Section 3. This Resolution shall become effective
immediately upon its adoption.
