Federal regulations governing CDBG and other HUD programs require that a participating jurisdiction provide citizens with reasonable notice of and an opportunity to comment on any new allocation and/or amendment of HUD programs. In addition, the public is advised of the new allocation (s)/amend ment(s) to the funding of the City program(s) as indicated below: * t 1. Discuss and proposed resolution authorizing the allocation of the program income generated September 1, 2021 to March 31, 2022 in the amount of $220,842.35 to the activities specified below; which are eligible CDBG activities. Department of Housing and Program Administration Community Development $44,168.47 Public Services Activities Eligible Activities for PY:2022-2023 $33,126.35 Department of Housing and Eligible CDBG activities $143,547.53 Community Development Total CDBG Program Income $220,842.35 2. Discuss and proposed resolution authorizing the allocation of HOME program income from November 1, 2021 to March 31, 2022, in the amount of $351,230.47 and an additional amount of $68,422.99 of recaptured funds, for a total amount of $419,653.46, to the eligible HOME activities, as specified below: HOME FUNDS AMOUNT COLLECTED Program Icome $351,230.47 Recaptured Fund $68,422.99 TOTAL $419,653.46 DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES FUNDING ALLOCATION Eligible HOME program activities $384,530.42 Program Administration -Department of Housing and Community Development $35,123.04 TOTAL HOME PI/RECAPTURED FUNDS $419,653.46 3. Discuss and proposed resolution approving the City of Miami ("City") Local Housing Assistance Plan ("LHAP"), for the period of July 1, 2022 through June 30, 2025, for the continued participation of the City in the Florida State Housing Initiatives Partnership ("SHIP") program. * The adoption of an Ordinance or Resolution by the City Commission, related to the proposed funding recommendation(s)/ amendment(s), authorizes the City Manager to draft/amend the appropriate City of Miami Action Plan. t t This item(s) will be available for public comment and review for a period of no less than 30 days. The review and comment period begin, Tuesday May 10, 2022 and ends Wednesday, June 8, 2022. The proposed funding recommendation (s)/amendment(s) will be presented to City Commission for approval on Thursday, June 9, 2022 as authorized by HUD. Comments to amendment(s) must be submitted to: nancyromani@miamigov.com, Attn: Nancy Romani, and must be received no later than June 7, 2022. Interested individuals are encouraged to attend this Public Hearing. The meeting site is accessible to the handicapped. Requests for special accommodations may be directed at 305-416-2080 no later than three (3) business days prior to the public hearing date.
