PZA B2. 8984 The Centner Academy proposal on N. Miami Avenue was met with great trepidation by local residents due to concern about increased traffic in the area, which is more Re significant for a school as parents generally drive their children to and from school. i onn 4412 NOW, with this proposal there are even graver concerns for the residents of BVE and NE g BVW. 1.) Upzoning and allowing commercial businesses to begin taking over mpe 1ST 19 residential neighborhoods is a terrible precedent to set, especially for BVE/W which stori AVE NW are surrounded by commercial zoning on all sides. If this encroachment is allowed to Matt Pest us@ 41 Mia the Centner Academy, where would it stop? We must protect these neighborhoods at No hew orius gmai St, mi, all costs. 2.) Traffic, which is already a concern continues to remain a potential l.co 20 FL problem with the development of a private school at the site of the former Curley m NW 3313 Notre Dame school and the potential development of what is now Design Place. If 42 7 42 more space is upzoned or allowed to become commercial in current residential areas, st, it threatens the safety of residents, the quiet enjoyment of our property and the 4136 historic significance of the neighborhoods. The requested upzoning should absolutely N not be granted. Mia mi Ave PZA B2. 8984 I live only a few blocks from the current Centner Academy on NE 1st Ave. We bought Rez a house in this area to be in a nice, quiet residential area. When the school was first onin getting permission/zoning to be built I had some serious reservations as a local andr g resident of a historic neighborhood (Buena Vista East). Even with our concerns of ew.b 9 increased traffic on North Miami Ave and cars using our residential neighborhood as a Bons onsi 4412 NW cut through, the school was permitted to be built by the city. Now they just want to An dr An 41 NE 41 ignor gnor keep building more and building bigger. This will only increase the overflow traffic No e e@g 1ST from the schools going into our residential area. They were allowed to build the mail. AVE 20 school against much objection to local residents. They should not be allowed to com NW simply keep extending zoning to commercial in a fully residential area. This will set a 42 42 precedent for other organizations to do the same thing. Where does it end? The st, Centner Academy does not seem to care about the concerns of the local residents, 4136 they just want to expand their own business as much as they possibly can. Stre 20 et com NW 42 St, 4136 N Mia mi Ave I live in 42 Street and have been severely affected by the opening of this school. The increase in speeding traffic to cut through our street is extremely dangerous not to mention a nuance. School busses rush down and all line up our street. The traffic which already is severely congested will get worse. North Miami Avenue is too busy No of an Avenue" for people to come to and abrupt stop for drop off and pick up. Cars are flying down and then cutting through our neighborhood streets, putting everyone in danger. The rezoning should not be allowed in our residential neighborhood. Beyond the fact that it does not fit into the neighborhood at all, the amount of traffic that will be created by increasing height, means increased capacity. North Miami already cannot No handle the traffic between the Design District and the 95 freeway ramp. There needs to be clear reasoning, studies, etc. before this can even be considered.
