At its March 24, 2022 meeting, the City Commission adopted the above referenced
agenda item, CA.2, accepting a grant awarded to the City of Miami ("City") in the not to exceed
amount of one hundred eleven thousand four hundred fifty-eight dollars and seven cents
($111,458.07) from the State of Florida Department of Environmental Protection and
appropriating a required City fund match in the not to exceed amount of thirty-seven thousand
one hundred fifty-two dollars and sixty-nine cents ($37,152.69) for the purchase of a pump out
vessel. The item inadvertently contained an incorrect description of the effective date of the
Resolution in Section 6.
The Legislation has been corrected and incremented to Revision A.

A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION ACCEPTING A GRANT
AWARDED TO THE CITY OF MIAMI ("CITY") IN THE NOT TO EXCEED AMOUNT OF
ONE HUNDRED ELEVEN THOUSAND, FOUR HUNDRED FIFTY-EIGHT DOLLARS
AND SEVEN CENTS ($111,458.07) ("GRANT FUNDS") FROM THE STATE OF
FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION ("GRANTOR") AND
APPROPRIATING A REQUIRED CITY FUND MATCH IN THE NOT TO EXCEED
AMOUNT OF THIRTY SEVEN THOUSAND, ONE HUNDRED FIFTY-TWO DOLLARS
AND SIXTY-NINE CENTS ($37,152.69) ("CITY MATCH") FOR THE PURCHASE OF A
PUMP OUT VESSEL ("PROJECT"); AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO
NEGOTIATE AND EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT WITH THE GRANTOR AND ANY AND
ALL OTHER NECESSARY DOCUMENTS, APPLICATIONS, RENEWALS,
EXTENSIONS, AND MODIFICATIONS, ALL IN FORMS ACCEPTABLE TO THE CITY
ATTORNEY, FOR THE PROJECT AND ACCEPTANCE OF THE GRANT FUNDS, AND
TO CREATE THE NECESSARY ACCOUNTING STRUCTURE TO PROVIDE FOR
THE GRANT FUNDS IN ACCORDANCE WITH GENERALLY ACCEPTED
ACCOUNTING PRINCIPLES.
WHEREAS, the State of Florida's department of Environmental Protection ("Grantor") is
the lead agency for environmental management and stewardship responsible for protecting our
air, water, and land; and
WHEREAS, the City of Miami ("City") has been awarded a grant in the not to C.-kceed
amount of one hundred eleven thousand, four hundred fifty-eight dollars and seven ce-hts
($111,458.07) ("Grant Funds") which requires a City fund match in the not to excee�4wrnoumof

WHEREAS, the City has programmed funds into its Fiscal Year ("FY") 20214-422

Operating Budget for the Project; and
WHEREAS, the Grant Funds are to be appropriated by separate resolution for FY 20 A-
2022;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble of this Resolution are
adopted by reference and incorporated as if fully set forth in this Section.
Section 2. The City Manager is authorized' to accept the Grant Funds for FY 2021-2022
from the Grantor for the Project.
' The herein authorization is further subject to compliance with all legal requirements that may be
imposed including, but not limited to, those prescribed by applicable City Charter and City Code
provisions
Section 3. The City Manager is authorized' to appropriate the City Match for FY 2021-
2022.
Section 4. The City Manager is authorized' to negotiate and execute a Grant Agreement
with the Grantor and any and all other necessary documents, applications, renewals,
extensions, and modifications, all in farms acceptable to the City Attorney, for the Project and
the acceptance of the Grant Funds.
Section 5. The City Manager is authorized' to create the necessary accounting structure
to provide for the acceptance and expenditure of the Grant Funds in accordance with generally
accepted accounting principles.
Section 6. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption.

2 If the Mayor does not sign this Resolution, it shall become effective at the end of ten (10) calendar days
from the date it was passed and adopted. if the Mayor vetoes this Resolution, it shall become effective
immediately upon override of the veto by the City Commission.
