A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION, WITH ATTACHMENTS,
APPROVING AND ADOPTING THE SUPPLEMENTAL BUDGET OF THE LIBERTY
CITY COMMUNITY REVITALIZATION TRUST, ATTACHED AND INCORPORATED
AS EXHIBIT "B," IN THE TOTAL AMOUNT OF $769,169.00 FOR THE FISCAL YEAR
COMMENCING OCTOBER 1, 2021 AND ENDING SEPTEMBER 30, 2022.
WHEREAS, the City of Miami ("City") created and established the Liberty City
Community Revitalization Trust ("Trust") pursuant to Ordinance No. 12859 adopted October 12,
2006; and
WHEREAS, the Trust is responsible for the oversight and facilitation of the City's
revitalization and redevelopment activities in the Liberty City area; and
WHEREAS, Section 12.5-36 of the Code of the City of Miami, Florida, as amended ("City
Code"), provides that the Trust shall submit a budget to the City Commission for approval, in a
form acceptable to the City Manager; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. R-21-0366 adopted September 13, 2021, the
City Commission approved the Trust's original annual budget for the fiscal year commencing
October 1, 2021 and ending September 30, 2022 in the amount of $311,000.00, attached and
incorporated as Exhibit "A" ("Original Annual Budget"); and
WHEREAS, the Trust did not include in the Original Annual Budget its fund balance in
the amount of $458,169.00; and
WHEREAS, the governing body of the Trust reviewed and approved the Trust's
supplemented and amended budget for Fiscal Year 2021-2022 on December 2, 2021, attached
and incorporated as Exhibit "B" ("Supplemental Budget");
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are
adopted by reference and incorporated as if fully set forth in this Section.
Section 2. The Trust's Fiscal Year 2021-2022 Supplemental Budget in the total amount
of $769,169.00, attached and incorporated as Exhibit "B," for the Fiscal Year commencing
October 1, 2021 and ending September 30, 2022 is approved and adopted.
Section 3. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption and
signature of the Mayor.'
If the Mayor does not sign this Resolution, it shall become effective at the end of ten (10) calendar days
from the date it was passed and adopted. If the Mayor vetoes this Resolution, it shall become effective
immediately upon override of the veto by the City Commission.
