A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION, WITH ATTACHMENTS),
REALLOCATING UNEXPENDED HOUSING OPPORTUNITIES FOR PERSONS
WITH AIDS FUNDS FOR FISCAL YEAR 2019-2020, AS MORE
PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED IN EXHIBIT "A," ATTACHED AND
INCORPORATED, TO BE USED FOR RENTAL ASSISTANCE, SUPPORTIVE
SERVICES, AND OTHER ELIGIBLE ACTIVITIES FOR LOW-INCOME
INDIVIDUALS AND FAMILIES LIVING WITH HIV`/AIDS; FURTHER
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO NEGOTIATE AND EXECUTE ANY
AND ALL NECESSARY DOCUMENTS, ALL IN FORMS ACCEPTABLE TO THE
CITY ATTORNEY, SUBJECT TO ALL FEDERAL, STATE, AND LOCAL LAWS
THAT REGULATE THE USE OF SUCH FUNDS.
WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. R-20-0135 adapted on April 30, 2020, the City of
Miami ("City") allocated supplemental Housing Opportunities for Persons With AIDS ("HOPWA-
CV") funds for Fiscal Year ("FY") 2019-20 in the amount of $1,684,063.00 under the
Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security Act; and
WHEREAS, there is a need to reallocate the unexpended funds to the agencies and
activities specified in Exhibit "A," attached and incorporated, to provide rental assistance,
supportive services, and other eligible activities to address the impact of the Novel Coronavirus
pandemic among eligible low-income individuals and families living with HIV/AIDS;
WHEREAS, the City's Administration recommends the reallocation of HOPWA_�CV„
unexpended funds for FY 2019-20 as specified in Exhibit "A," attached and incorporalDd;

Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resoyri"rbn am

adapted by reference and incorporated as if fully set forth in this Section. X-<
Section 2. The reallocation of the HOPWA-CV unexpended funds for FY 20*L20 &;the
agencies and activities described in Exhibit "A," attached and incorporated, is author`rf-ed.'
Section 3. The City Manager is further authorized' to negotiate and execute any and all
necessary documents, all in forms acceptable to the City Attorney, to transfer the funds.
Section 4, This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption,
The herein authorization is further subject to compliance with all legal requirements that may be
imposed, including but not limited to those prescribed by applicable City Charter and City Code
provisions.

e Mayor does not sign this Resolution, it shall become effective at the end of ten (10) calendar days
from the date it was passed and adopted. If the Mayor vetoes this Resolution, it shall become effective
