Resolution file id number 9315 directing the City Manager to take any and all action(s) necessary to
expeditiously request that the Miami -Dade County Public Works Department consider exempting proposed
traffic flow modifications from required resident concurrence for City of Miami Office of Capital
Improvements Project No. 40-13193615. This resolution supports the design and construction of seven (7)
Traffic Calming Device at various locations in the Buena Vista Residential Neighborhood of District 5.

ANY PERSON WHO RECEIVES COMPENSATION, REMUNERATION OR EXPENSES FOR
CONDUCTING LOBBYING ACTIVITIES IS REQUIRED TO REGISTER AS A LOBBYIST WITH
THE CITY CLERK PRIOR TO ENGAGING IN LOBBYING ACTIVITIES BEFORE CITY STAFF,
BOARDS AND COMMITTEES OR THE CITY COMMISSION. A COPY OF THE APPLICABLE
ORDINANCE IS AVAILABLE IN THE OFFICE OF THE CITY CLERK (MIAMI CITY HALL),
LOCATED AT 3500 PAN AMERICAN DRIVE, MIAMI, FLORIDA, 33133
AT THE SCHEDULED MEETING OF THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI,
FLORIDA, TO BE HELD ON THURSDAY, JULY 22, 2021, AT 9:00 A.M., IN ITS CHAMBERS
AT CITY HALL, 3500 PAN AMERICAN DRIVE, THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION WILL
CONSIDER THE FOLLOWING ITEM RELATED TO THE REGULAR AGENDA:
A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION, WITH ATTACHMENTS, AFTER A PUBLIC
HEARING, AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE CITY MANAGER TO TAKE ANY AND ALL
ACTIONS NECESSARY TO EXPEDITIOUSLY REQUEST THAT THE MIAMI-DADE COUNTY
TRANSPORTATION & PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT ("DTPW') CONSIDER PROPOSED
TRAFFIC FLOW MODIFICATIONS REGARDING THE CITY OF MIAMI'S OFFICE OF CAPITAL
IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT NO. 40-13193615 AND WAIVE THE REQUIRED RESIDENT
CONCURRENCE AND EXEMPT THE BALLOTING PROCESS IN ORDER TO EXPEDITIOUSLY
PROCEED WITH THE DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION OF TRAFFIC CALMING DEVICES AT
SEVEN (7) LOCATIONS IN THE BUENA VISTA RESIDENTIAL NEIGHBORHOOD OF DISTRICT
5; DIRECTING THE CITY CLERK TO SEND A CERTIFIED COPY OF THIS RESOLUTION TO
THE DTPW DIRECTOR.
Copies of the proposed Resolution are available for review at the Resilience and Public Works
Department, Survey Section of the Administration Division, located at 444 SW 2nd Avenue,
7th Floor, during regular working hours. Phone 305-416-1232.
The Miami City Commission requests all interested parties be present or represented at the
meeting and may be heard with respect to any proposition before the City Commission in which
the City Commission may take action. Should any person desire to appeal any decision of the
City Commission with respect to any matter to be considered at this meeting, that person shall
ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made including all testimony and evidence
upon which any appeal may be based (F.S. 286.0105).
