Hearing
Please make arrangements to publish the attached Notice of Public Hearing for City of Miami Commission
Resolution file id number 9147 directing the City Manager to take any and all action(s) necessary to
expeditiously request that the Miami -Dade County Public Works Department consider exempting proposed
traffic flow modifications from required resident concurrence for City of Miami Office of Capital
Improvements Project No. 40-1350505. This resolution supports City of Miami Resolution 19-0425 dated
24 Oct 2019 authorizing the City Manager to design and construct the Traffic Calming Device at the
intersection of Southwest 32nd Avenue and Southwest 5th Street.
The Public Hearing has been scheduled for July 8, 2021.

ANY PERSON WHO RECEIVES COMPENSATION, REMUNERATION OR EXPENSES FOR
CONDUCTING LOBBYING ACTIVITIES IS REQUIRED TO REGISTER AS A LOBBYIST
WITH THE CITY CLERK PRIOR TO ENGAGING IN LOBBYING ACTIVITIES BEFORE CITY
STAFF, BOARDS AND COMMITTEES OR THE CITY COMMISSION. A COPY OF THE
APPLICABLE ORDINANCE IS AVAILABLE IN THE OFFICE OF THE CITY CLERK (MIAMI
CITY HALL), LOCATED AT 3500 PAN AMERICAN DRIVE, MIAMI, FLORIDA, 33133
AT THE SCHEDULED MEETING OF THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI,
FLORIDA, TO BE HELD ON THURSDAY, JULY 8, 2021, AT 9:00 A.M., IN ITS
CHAMBERS AT CITY HALL, 3500 PAN AMERICAN DRIVE, THE MIAMI CITY
COMMISSION WILL CONSIDER THE FOLLOWING ITEM RELATED TO THE REGULAR
AGENDA:
A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION, WITH ATTACHMENTS, AFTER A
PUBLIC HEARING, DIRECTING THE CITY MANAGER TO TAKE ANY AND ALL ACTION(S)
NECESSARY TO EXPEDITIOUSLY REQUEST THAT THE MIAMI-DADE COUNTY PUBLIC
WORKS DEPARTMENT CONSIDER THE PROPOSED TRAFFIC FLOW MODIFICATIONS
REGARDING THE CITY OF MIAMI OFFICE OF CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT NO.
40-1350505 AND WAIVE THE REQUIRED RESIDENT CONCURRENCE , THEREFORE
EXEMPTING THE BALLOTING PROCESS, IN ORDER TO EXPEDITIOUSLY PROCEED
WITH THE DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION OF TWO RAISED INTERSECTIONS AND A
GENERIC DEVICE THAT WILL SERVE AS TRAFFIC CALMING DEVICES AT THE
INTERSECTION OF SOUTHWEST 32ND AVENUE AND SOUTHWEST 5TH STREET.
Copies of the proposed Resolution are available for review at the Resilience and Public
Works Department, Survey Section of the Administration Division, located at 444 SW 2nd
Avenue, 7th Floor, during regular working hours. Phone 305-416-1232.
The Miami City Commission requests all interested parties be present or represented at the
meeting and may be heard with respect to any proposition before the City Commission in which
the City Commission may take action. Should any person desire to appeal any decision of the
City Commission with respect to any matter to be considered at this meeting, that person shall
ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made including all testimony and evidence
upon which any appeal may be based (F.S. 286.0105).
