OMB has reviewed the request for City expenditure along with the City of Miami Finance
Department and the City Attorney's Office for the area to be vacated for private use at SW 36th
Court between SW 7th Street and SW 8th Street as reviewed by the Plat and Street Committee on
May 14, 2019 (the approval letter is attached). Based upon information from the Resilience and
Public Works Department and the Office of Capital Improvements, the following City Projects
expended funds within the boundaries of this plat:
• Local Drainage Project B-5169
• Local Drainage Project E-55 (Project B-5505)
• Western Drainage Project E-46 (Project B-5460)
From historic information gathered from the City Clerk's Office, the total amount expended within
this area has been determined to be: $639,622.00 of which the total amounts are from restricted
Sanitary Sewer Bond funds.
The amount due to the City is calculated as the ratio of the total cost of the entire project to the
total square footage of the entire project multiplied by the square footage of the area proposed to
be vacated.
Therefore, in accordance with Section 55-15 of the City Code, the amount that must be repaid to the
City of Miami is $17,844.46.
