Federal regulations governing CDBG and other HUD programs require that a participating jurisdiction provide citizens with reasonable notice of and an opportunity to comment on any new allocation and/ or amendment of HUD programs. In addition, the public is advised of the new allocation(s)/ amendment(s) to the funding of the City program(s) as indicated below: * t 1. Discuss and proposal resolution authorizing the acceptance of special grant allocation of Community Development Block Grant funds ("CDBG-CV3"), in the total amount of $4,771,821.00, and authorizing the allocation of such funds, as specified below: (Agenda item deferred on January 28, 2021 CC Meeting) DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES FUNDED AMOUNT Department of Housing & Administration $954,364.20 Community Development Department of Housing & Micro -Enterprise Program $1,000,000.00 Community Development Department of Housing & Small Business Emergency Loan $2,817,456.80 Community Development Program II Total CDBG-CV3 Fund $4,771,821.00 2. Discuss and proposed resolution authorizing the acceptance of Emergency Rental Assistance funds in an amount of $14,130,464.60 from United States Department of the Treasury and authorizing the allocation of such funds as described below, and approving the establishment of an Emergency Rental Assistance program. Housing Stabilization $100,000.00 Total ERA Program Allocation $14,130,464.60 The adoption of an Ordinance or Resolution by the City Commission, related to the proposed funding recommendation(s)/ amendment(s), authorizes the City Manager to draft/amend the appropriate City of Miami Action Plan. t t This item(s) will be available for public comment and review for a period of no less than 5 days. The review and comment period begin, Friday, February 5, 2021 and ends Wednesday, February 10, 2021. The proposed funding recommendation(s)/ amendment(s) will be presented to City Commission for approval on Thursday, February 11, 2021 (Virtual Public Hearing) as authorized by HUD. All VPHs will be held on an ADA compliant web -based platform.
