Federal regulations governing CDBG and other HUD programs require that a participating jurisdiction provide citizens with reasonable notice of and an opportunity to comment on any new allocation and/ or amendment of HUD programs. In addition, the public is advised of the new allocation(s)/ amendment(s) to the fundine of the Citv r)roeram(s) as indicated below: * t 1. Discuss and proposed resolution transferring Community Development Block Grant ("CDBG") funds in the amount of $1,360,672.20 from the department of Housing and Community Development to the agencies/and or departments as specified in below, for Economic Development activities. (moved from January 14, 2021 agenda) Agencies/Department Description of Services CDBG ED Funding PY:2020-2021 City of Miami -Department of Housing and Single Family Rehabilitation program $500,950.00 Community Development Dynamic Community Development Corporation Technical Assistance for For -profit Businesses $50,000.00 City of Miami Department of Housing and To be allocated $809,722.20 Community Development $1,360,672.20 2. Discuss and proposed resolution accepting the name change of World Literacy Crusade of Florida, Inc. to Girl Power Rocks, Inc. in order to facilitate the transfer of $32,500.00 from the Liberty City Optimist Club of Florida, Inc. to Girl Power Rocks, Inc., Community Development Block Grant public service funds, for program year 2020- 2021. 3. Discuss and proposed resolution accepting a special grant allocation of Community Development Block Grant (CV-3) funds in the total amount of $4,771,821.00 ("funds") and authorizing the allocation of the funds to support economic and community development activities in response to the novel coronavirus pandemic. 4. Discuss and proposed resolution accepting additional grant of Mainstream Voucher program, authorized by the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act ("CARE") in the amount of $606,720.00 from the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development ("HUD"); to provide permanent affordable housing assistance to 40 non -elderly person(s) with disabilities and/or formerly homeless individuals. The adoption of an Ordinance or Resolution by the City Commission, related to the proposed funding recommendation(s)/ amendment(s), authorizes the City Manager to draf lamend the appropriate City of Miami Action Plan. t t This item(s) will be available for public comment and review for a period of no less than 5 days. The review and comment period begin, Friday, January 22, 2021 and ends Wednesday, January 27, 2021. The proposed funding recommendation(s)/ amendment(s) will be presented to City Commission for approval on Thursday, January 28, 2021 (Virtual Public Hearing) as authorized by HUD. All VPHs will be held on an ADA compliant web -based platform.
