The facility presented the mostfamous musical concerts in Miami history as well as other water sport activities. In 1992, twenty one years ago, Hurricane Andrew damaged the Stadium. Since then, the structure ofthe Stadium has suffered enormous deterioration. Major repairs and replacements have to be done in orderto preserve this historic building. The project includes the historic resoration ofthe Marine Stadium to a successful and operable venue for functional use by City of Miami residents and visitors. GOB Total Funding Allocation Narrative/Description The scope ofwork for GOB funds involves construction activities for the historic restoration and renovation ofthe Marine Stadium such as (but not limited to) structural restoration ofthe stadium, with materials, features and character as itappeared in its original likeness during the 1960s. Work also includes, new systems i.e. electrical, mechanical, lighting, sound, plumbing, new seating and removal ofasbestos material as necessary. GOB 2020 - 21 Funding Allocation Narrative/Description All GOB funds will be used for the construction phase ofthe projectwhich is planned between October 2020 to May 2022. **For municipalities and public agencies, this exhibit, along with the entity's resolution, conforms with Article III, Section I, A2e ofthe Building Better Communities Bond Program (GOB) Administrative Rules.
