PLASTIC & RECONSTRUCTIVE SURGERY Dear City of Miami Commissioners, My name is Dr. Tal Roudner and I reside at 1645 Nocatee Drive. We bought our home in North Coconut Grove (specifically Natoma Manors) earlier this year. I wanted to testify today at the commission meeting; however, I have surgeries scheduled today which make it impossible to attend. When we bought our home, little did we know that we would be inundated with peafowl! With a newborn baby, we suffered months of sleepness nights due to the noise that they make during mating season — it is unbearable! If I had known this at the time, chances are that I would have looked elsewhere to buy — perhaps to a community is being proactive in curtailing the overabundance of peacocks. It is just WAY TOO MANY! Our walkways, driveways and streets are full of peacock poop. They become aggressive (especially the males) and at one point, one of them "attacked" my wife while she was walking our newborn baby. This is unacceptable. I have seen the damage that they have done to neighbors landscape and vehicles. What quality of life is this for residents? Much lower than I originally expected when moving to Coconut Grove. I urge you to move forward with the resolution regarding the peafowl for the good of all — residents and peafowl alike. Thank you. Since ely, r.
